You find remote revenue operations jobs open to Nigeria in three places: on a few remote job boards, on company careers pages hosted by applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, and through talent-placement firms that hire across Africa for US clients. Most remote RevOps ads are still limited to the US, the UK or "EMEA with an office", so most of the work is filtering.
RevOps (short for revenue operations) is the team that keeps a company's sales, marketing and customer success machinery running. That means the CRM (customer relationship management system), the reports, the hand-offs between teams and the commission plans. It sits behind the scenes, it depends on systems and data, and it's done almost entirely on a laptop. That makes it a good remote career for Nigerians who already know Salesforce, HubSpot or Excel well.
This guide covers what the jobs involve (sales operations included), which titles fit which level, the tools current ads ask for, where to search, how to read the location line, what Africa-eligible ads paid as of October 2026, and how to get in.
Quick answer
To find remote revenue operations jobs from Nigeria, search for "RevOps", "sales operations" and "CRM administrator" alongside "worldwide", "Africa" or "EMEA". Do the search on remote job boards and with ATS search operators, then confirm the location line on the employer's own ad. The realistic entry points are RevOps administrator and analyst roles, and you'll need hands-on Salesforce or HubSpot skills to get them. Africa-eligible junior ads we checked paid about $1,000 to $1,600 a month.
What revenue operations and sales operations jobs involve
Revenue operations is the work of making sure the systems, data and processes behind a company's revenue are accurate and efficient. A RevOps person makes sure a lead gets routed to the right salesperson, keeps deal stages in the CRM honest, builds the dashboard that tells the sales leader whether the quarter is on track, and makes sure commissions are calculated correctly.
Sales operations is the older and narrower version of the same job. A sales ops team supports only the sales team. A RevOps team supports sales, marketing and customer success together, so leads, deals and renewals all live in one system with one set of definitions. Many companies use the two titles for the same role, especially smaller software companies, so search for both.
| Function | Who it supports | Typical work |
|---|---|---|
| Sales operations | Sales team | CRM hygiene, territories, quotas, forecasts |
| Marketing operations | Marketing team | Email tools, lead scoring, campaign data |
| Revenue operations | Sales, marketing, success | All of the above, joined up |
Marketing operations is a neighbouring career with its own guide, remote marketing operations jobs. If you enjoy the campaign-tools side more than the sales side, read that one too.
A typical week in a remote RevOps role
Most of the week happens inside a ticket queue or a Slack channel. A sales manager asks why a deal disappeared from the forecast. A marketer needs a new lead-source field. Finance wants last month's closed-won report broken out by region. The rest of the time goes on bigger projects: cleaning duplicate accounts, building an automation that assigns new leads, or moving the company from one CRM to another.
This is why RevOps works well remotely. The output is a working system or a report, not your presence in a room.
Remote RevOps job titles and seniority
Titles in this field shift from company to company, but they fall into a fairly consistent ladder. Knowing where you fit stops you wasting applications on roles that want ten years of experience.
| Title | What you'd mainly do | Usual level |
|---|---|---|
| RevOps or CRM administrator | Data clean-up, user set-up, simple reports | Junior |
| Sales operations specialist | Pipeline reports, territory lists, tool support | Junior to mid |
| Revenue operations analyst | Forecasting, dashboards, funnel analysis | Mid |
| RevOps strategist or consultant | Process design for clients or internal teams | Mid to senior |
| Revenue operations manager | Owns systems, comp plans and the team | Senior |
| Head or director of RevOps | Strategy across all revenue teams | Leadership |
As one example of what "manager" means here: a Revenue Operations Manager ad from RemoFirst, posted on the Nigerian job site Jobnow on 21 July 2026, asked for 5 to 10 years in revenue operations, sales operations, sales enablement, sales compensation or CRM administration. Treat manager titles as senior roles even when the ad doesn't say so.
Sales analysts sit right next to RevOps analysts. We cover that path separately in remote sales analyst jobs.
Skills and tools remote RevOps employers ask for
Employers hire RevOps people for three things: they can run the CRM, they can turn its data into decisions, and they can turn messy processes into simple ones. The tools change from company to company. Those three capabilities don't.
CRM administration
Salesforce and HubSpot dominate. You should be able to create fields, page layouts and validation rules, import and de-duplicate records, manage users and permissions, and build reports and dashboards without asking a developer for help.
Salesforce's free learning platform, Trailhead, has an Admin Beginner trail of about 7 hours 20 minutes. It covers data modelling, data management, Lightning Experience customisation, user engagement, and reports and dashboards (as of October 2026). It's a sensible first step before the paid Salesforce Administrator exam. Check the current exam fee on Salesforce's own certification page before you budget for it. Our guides to using Salesforce in a remote sales role and using HubSpot for remote sales work go further.
Data and reporting
Expect to need advanced Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, clean formulas) plus one BI (business intelligence) tool. The remote RevOps manager ads listed on Built In in October 2026 named Looker, Power BI, Tableau and SQL among their skills. SQL matters more the more senior you get, because forecasts and funnel analysis often pull from a data warehouse rather than the CRM alone. Our data analyst career guide covers the analysis side.
Process, automation and compensation
RevOps people write down how a lead becomes a deal and a deal becomes a renewal, and then automate the dull steps. The ads we checked named Zapier, Clay, Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, Clari, Apollo, ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. The RemoFirst ad also mentioned PandaDoc and Remuner, a commission tool, and said experience with SaaS metrics such as MRR (monthly recurring revenue) and ARR (annual recurring revenue) was a plus.
You don't need all of these. Know one CRM deeply, one sales-engagement tool (Outreach, Salesloft or Apollo) and one automation tool. Then learn the others from their free documentation when an ad asks for them. For which CRM skills give you the most return, see the CRM skills remote sales teams value.
Soft skills that show up in every ad
- Writing clear documentation, because colleagues in another time zone will use your process guide while you sleep.
- Explaining a number to a non-technical sales leader in two sentences.
- Saying no politely when a request would break the data model.
- Juggling many small requests from different teams without losing track of any.
Where to find remote revenue operations jobs open to Nigeria
The difficulty isn't finding RevOps ads. Aggregators list plenty. The difficulty is finding ones that accept someone living in Lagos, Ibadan or Enugu. Use these channels in this order.
Search terms that work
Search engines and job boards match words literally, so run several versions:
- "RevOps" and "revenue operations" (some ads use only one)
- "sales operations", "sales ops" and "GTM operations" (GTM means go-to-market)
- "CRM administrator", "Salesforce administrator" and "HubSpot administrator"
- Each of the above with "worldwide", "anywhere", "Africa", "EMEA" or "Nigeria"
Company careers pages through ATS search operators
Many software companies post their jobs on Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby before any job board picks them up. Google can search these boards directly:
site:job-boards.greenhouse.io "revenue operations" remote EMEAsite:jobs.lever.co "sales operations" remote Africasite:jobs.ashbyhq.com RevOps remote worldwide
Open each result and read the location line on the ad itself. Our guide to finding remote jobs on company career pages explains the method in more detail.
Remote job boards and aggregators
Remote-focused boards and aggregators let you filter by country. As of October 2026, Remote Rocketship's Nigeria revenue operations page showed three listings and estimated that RevOps manager openings for Nigeria took about 29 days to close, based on 7 listings from the past year. Three listings is a small number, which tells you something on its own: Nigeria-eligible RevOps ads are scarce, so set up alerts rather than waiting to browse.
Aggregators often repost ads from intermediaries. Jobgether, for example, posts on behalf of unnamed partner companies. Always click through to the original ad.
Talent-placement firms that hire in Africa
Some firms recruit people outside the US for American clients and handle the contract and payment. Scale Army is one example. Its Operations Assistant ad on Remotive, checked in October 2026, was open to Latin America, Africa and Eastern Europe, paid $1,000 to $1,200 a month on a contract basis and required work on 9am to 5pm Eastern time. The work centred on keeping CRM records and contact data clean, which is RevOps work at entry level. With firms like this you are usually a contractor, so read our explainer on contractor versus employee arrangements before you sign.
WorkRemote.ng listings
Our business and marketing job listings include sales and operations roles. Each listing shows the company, its website and where applicants may live. We review listings and aim to publish genuine remote roles open to applicants from Nigeria, but we can't check every detail, and the employer decides who it hires.
What we found when we checked live RevOps ads (October 2026)
We searched Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and several aggregators for RevOps roles open to Nigeria or Africa. The checks below are dated, and listings change weekly, so treat this table as an illustration of patterns, not a list of open jobs.
| Listing (where seen) | Location line | What it teaches |
|---|---|---|
| Scale Army, RevOps Administrator (Remote Rocketship) | Remote: Nigeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, South Africa, Argentina | Junior contract roles do name Nigeria; $1.6k a month listed |
| Walker Sands, RevOps Strategist (Remote Rocketship) | Anywhere in the world | Agencies hire RevOps consultants globally |
| RemoFirst, RevOps Manager (Jobnow, July 2026) | "Nigeria (Remote)" on the repost | The original Workable ad was gone by October and its link mentioned Poland |
| UK RevOps manager ads (Built In) | Remote or office, tied to London or Oxford | "Remote" can still mean UK residence |
Two lessons come out of this. First, a Nigerian site labelling an ad "Nigeria (Remote)" doesn't prove the employer accepts Nigeria. The RemoFirst repost said Nigeria, but the original link referred to Poland and had closed by the time we checked. Second, many "remote" RevOps manager roles in Europe are really hybrid roles attached to an office. Our guide to checking whether a remote job accepts Nigerian residents walks through the full verification.
How to read the location line on a RevOps ad
Read the location line before the job description. It saves hours.
- "Remote, US" or "Remote, UK": you usually need the right to work in that country. Skip it unless the ad says otherwise.
- "Remote, EMEA": it might include Nigeria, or it might mean a few European countries where the company has an entity. Look for a country list or ask the recruiter one short question. Our explainer on what EMEA means in a job ad goes deeper.
- "Remote, Africa" or a list of countries that includes Nigeria: this is your target.
- "Worldwide" or "Anywhere": usually workable, but check the working hours and whether the role is employment or contract.
- "Remote" plus a named city: often hybrid, or limited to people who can visit that office.
Remote RevOps pay: what Africa-eligible ads offered
Pay depends on seniority, the employer's country and your hiring arrangement (contractor or employer of record). The ads we opened in October 2026 give a junior benchmark only.
| Role (source, Oct 2026) | Published pay | Naira at ₦1,362/$1 |
|---|---|---|
| Operations Assistant, CRM data (Scale Army on Remotive) | $1,000 to $1,200 a month | about ₦1.36m to ₦1.63m |
| RevOps Administrator (Scale Army on Remote Rocketship) | $1,600 a month | about ₦2.18m |
These figures come from job ads, not from a salary survey. The naira figures use the CBN NFEM weighted average of ₦1,362 to $1 on 23 October 2026. They're gross amounts before transfer fees and tax.
US-based RevOps managers are paid far more than this, but those salaries apply to people living in the US. Companies hiring from Nigeria usually pay less than US local rates, and they often pay by region. For senior roles open to Africa we didn't find a published range we could verify, so we haven't quoted one. Our account executive salary guide gives dollar and naira figures for a neighbouring revenue role, and how to receive dollar payments in Nigeria compares Payoneer, Grey, Deel and other withdrawal routes.
How to get into remote revenue operations
Very few people start their careers in RevOps. They arrive from a neighbouring job, and that's good news if you already have one of these backgrounds.
Common routes in
- From sales or SDR work: you already know how a pipeline works and where reps cut corners in the CRM. Our sales development representative guide covers that starting point.
- From CRM or system administration: you have the technical skills and need to learn the business side.
- From data or business analysis: you can build the dashboards and need to learn sales processes. See the business analyst career guide.
- From operations or admin roles: you are organised and good at documenting processes. Add CRM skills.
Build proof you can show
RevOps hiring managers want to see your work. You can build a portfolio without an employer:
- Create a free HubSpot account or a Salesforce Developer Edition org.
- Import a sample dataset of about 500 fake leads and deals, with duplicates and missing fields on purpose.
- Clean it, document the rules you used and set up one automation, such as assigning leads by country.
- Build a dashboard: pipeline by stage, win rate and average deal size.
- Write a two-page case study with before-and-after screenshots.
HubSpot Academy publishes a Revenue Operations certification course. HubSpot advertises free courses on the Academy, but confirm on the course page whether this particular one is free before you rely on it. A certificate helps a little. A working dashboard helps a lot more.
Example (hypothetical): turning a sales job into a RevOps application
Example (hypothetical): Chiamaka spent two years as an inside sales rep for a Lagos fintech company and was the person everyone asked to fix their HubSpot views. She rebuilds that experience into a RevOps story. She lists the lead-routing rule she proposed, the duplicate clean-up she ran (1,200 records merged) and the weekly pipeline report she built for her manager. Then she adds a portfolio dashboard and applies for RevOps administrator and sales ops specialist roles listed for Africa or worldwide, not for manager roles.
A step-by-step plan for applying
- Pick two titles at your level from the seniority table, such as "RevOps administrator" and "sales operations specialist".
- Save searches on two boards and run the ATS operators above every week.
- Before you write anything, check the location line, the hours and whether the role is a contract or employment.
- Tailor the top third of your CV to the ad's CRM and tools, and use numbers: records cleaned, hours saved, reports built.
- Link your portfolio case study in the CV and in the first line of any cover note.
- Prepare for a practical test. RevOps interviews often include a spreadsheet task or a "how would you design this pipeline" exercise.
- Keep a tracker so you can follow up after about a week.
If you want a second pair of eyes on your CV, our CV and LinkedIn rewrite service is part of WorkRemote Premium (₦29,999 a month). Premium members are invited to a job interview within their first week, though that's an interview invitation, not a job offer.
Nigeria-specific set-up for a remote RevOps role
Working hours
RevOps teams support salespeople, so you'll usually work your employer's business hours. A US Eastern 9am to 5pm shift, like the Scale Army ad's, runs 2pm to 10pm in Lagos while the US is on summer time, and 3pm to 11pm from 1 November 2026, when US clocks go back. UK roles are easier: 9am to 5pm in London is 10am to 6pm in Lagos in winter and the same hours in summer. Central European hours match Lagos in winter.
Power and internet
Month-end and quarter-end are RevOps crunch times. A commission file or forecast can't wait for NEPA. Run your laptop and router off an inverter or solar system, keep two internet connections (for example a fixed line plus a MiFi, or a MiFi plus a phone hotspot) and keep your work in the cloud.
Contracts, tax and payment
Most Africa-eligible RevOps roles are contract roles paid in dollars through platforms such as Deel, or by direct transfer. Read the tax rules for Nigerian remote workers so you set money aside, and keep your NIN and BVN details current for account verification.
Red flags in RevOps job listings
RevOps attracts its own kind of scam because the work involves system access and payments. Walk away if:
- A "RevOps" role turns out to mean recruiting other people or processing payments through your personal bank account.
- You're asked to pay for CRM training, a software licence or "onboarding" before you start.
- The "employer" can only be found on Telegram or WhatsApp and has no careers page.
- They want full CRM admin access, your BVN or ID copies before any interview or contract.

Frequently asked questions
Can Nigerians get remote revenue operations jobs?
Yes, when the employer or placement firm accepts applicants living in Nigeria. As of October 2026 we found junior RevOps and CRM roles that named Nigeria or Africa, but most manager-level ads were limited to the US, the UK or specific European countries. Always confirm the location on the employer's own ad.
What is the difference between sales operations and revenue operations?
Sales operations supports only the sales team. Revenue operations covers sales, marketing and customer success together. In practice many companies use the titles for the same job, so search for both.
Can I get a RevOps job with no experience?
Not usually straight away. RevOps hires people who already understand sales processes or CRM systems. The fastest route is a junior CRM administrator or operations assistant role, backed by a portfolio project in HubSpot or Salesforce.
Do I need a Salesforce certification for remote RevOps jobs?
It isn't strictly required, but it helps for Salesforce-heavy employers. Hands-on skills you can show in an interview or portfolio count for more than the badge. Salesforce's free Trailhead trails are a good way to prepare.
How much do remote RevOps jobs pay for people in Nigeria?
Africa-eligible junior ads we checked in October 2026 paid $1,000 to $1,600 a month, which is about ₦1.36m to ₦2.18m at ₦1,362 to $1. We didn't find a verifiable published range for senior roles open to Africa. Pay rises with seniority, SQL skills and how complex the company's systems are.
Is remote RevOps work full-time or freelance?
Both exist. Placement firms usually hire full-time contractors. Agencies and consultancies sometimes take on RevOps freelancers for CRM projects, and in-house software companies more often hire full-time.
What hours will I work in a US-based RevOps job?
You'll usually work the team's hours. A 9am to 5pm Eastern shift is 2pm to 10pm in Lagos during US summer time and 3pm to 11pm in winter, from 1 November 2026.
Key takeaways
- Revenue operations runs the CRM, data and processes behind sales, marketing and customer success, and sales ops is the sales-only version of the same job.
- Remote RevOps ads open to Nigeria exist but are scarce. Most of them are junior administrator or analyst roles hired through placement firms or agencies.
- Search for several title variations, use ATS search operators and always confirm the location line on the employer's own ad.
- Strong Salesforce or HubSpot skills, spreadsheets plus one BI tool, and clear writing matter more than certificates.
- Africa-eligible junior ads paid $1,000 to $1,600 a month in October 2026, usually on contract and often on US hours.
