Junior email marketers working remotely from Nigeria were offered about $12,000 to $26,000 a year in October 2026 ads. Mid-level people sit roughly between $26,000 and $50,000, and senior specialists were advertised at $50,000 to $70,000.
Lifecycle and CRM titles sit at the top of that range. The UK average for CRM managers on Indeed UK is about £47,500, which shows how much the title and scope change the pay.

Where these figures come from
- Entry
- Two worldwide ads on Himalayas: Vitalis Outsourcing's marketing coordinator role covering email at $1,000 to $1,120 a month, and Coconut's GoHighLevel automation specialist contract at $1,800 to $2,150 a month (about $21,600 to $25,800 a year).
- Mid
- Between the top of the Coconut contract and the bottom of MailerLite's senior band. Plane's median for remote marketing specialists in Nigeria ($31,415) sits in this range. Few mid-level email ads open to Nigeria publish pay, so treat this as an estimate.
- Senior
- MailerLite's Senior Email Marketing Specialist and Senior Email Marketing Manager ads, both $50K to $70K gross a year, open to all countries with four hours of overlap with Central European Time.
How that compares
Reference points from other markets. Remote pay for people in Nigeria is usually below US and UK local pay.

- UK average, CRM manager (Indeed UK, self-reported) (uk.indeed.com)£47,534 a year
- UK average, marketing executive (Indeed UK, self-reported) (uk.indeed.com)£30,292 a year

- Nigeria local, email marketing specialist, median (PayScale, 7 profiles) (payscale.com)₦2,000,000 a year
What affects your pay
E-commerce or SaaS. Shopify brands and agencies often pay a monthly fee or per project for Klaviyo work. SaaS, fintech and app companies hire lifecycle marketers on salaries, which are usually higher.
Platform. Braze, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Customer.io skills are rarer than Mailchimp skills and tend to pay more.
Deliverability and data skills. People who can rescue a sender reputation, write SQL for segments or set up data feeds are paid like senior specialists.
Scope. Email only, or email plus SMS, push and in-app? Wider scope usually means a lifecycle title and better pay.
Negotiating your offer
Tie your rate to revenue. If your flows made a brand a measurable amount last quarter, say so with the number; email is one of the few channels where you can show this clearly.
For agency work, agree how many brands you'll handle. Ten Klaviyo accounts on a single salary is common and exhausting.
If they offer a low monthly contract, propose a three-month review with a target (for example, flow revenue up by an agreed amount) and a set raise if you hit it.
Questions people ask
How much do Klaviyo freelancers charge?
It varies widely by results and niche. Junior automation contracts we saw paid $1,800 to $2,150 a month for full-time work. Experienced freelancers usually price per project or a monthly retainer based on the store's size.
Do email marketers in Nigeria earn more working remotely?
Usually, yes. PayScale's small Nigerian sample puts the median for email marketing specialists at about ₦2 million a year, while remote roles in dollars start around $1,000 a month.
Is lifecycle marketing paid more than email marketing?
Generally, yes. Lifecycle and CRM roles cover more channels and tie directly to retention, which companies value highly.

Salaries for related roles
- Digital Marketing Specialist
A digital marketing specialist runs a company's paid ads, email, social media and analytics to bring in leads and sales. You can do it fully remotely from Nigeria, mostly for small foreign companies and agencies, but they hire on campaign results, not certificates.
- Performance Marketing Manager
A performance marketing manager owns a company's paid acquisition budget across Google, Meta, TikTok and other channels, and is judged on the cost of each new customer. It can be done remotely from Nigeria, but it's a manager-level job that usually needs several years of hands-on media buying first.
- Copywriter
A copywriter writes words that get people to act: ads, landing pages, product descriptions, emails, scripts and website copy. It's one of the easier creative jobs to do remotely from Nigeria because the work is all text, but clients judge you on samples and a writing test, not on your English grades.
- Marketing Manager
A marketing manager sets a company's marketing plan and budget, leads the people and agencies doing the work, and answers for the results in leads, customers or revenue. Nigerians do this remotely for startups, agencies and companies expanding into Africa, though most get there after years of hands-on marketing.
