Remote appointment setter salary for Nigerians
Remote appointment setter and lead generation roles open to all countries paid about $6,000 to $18,000 a year in base pay in the ads we checked in October 2026, roughly $500 to $1,500 a month. Many roles add a bonus per booked or attended appointment.
Those are the jobs that publish a base. A large share of setter offers online are commission-only, and we don't include them here because there's no guaranteed figure to quote.

Remote appointment setter pay by level
Yearly pay in US dollars for remote appointment setter roles open to people outside the US and UK, then the same figures in naira a month.
| Level | Dollars a year | Naira a month |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | $6,000 to $12,000 | ₦681,000 to ₦1,362,000 |
| Mid | $15,600 to $18,000 | ₦1,771,000 to ₦2,043,000 |
Naira at ₦1,362 to $1, 23 October 2026 (CBN NFEM weighted average), before tax and transfer fees, rounded to the nearest ₦1,000. The rate moves, so treat naira figures as a guide.
Where these figures come from
- Entry
- Online Team Member's full-time LinkedIn outreach, lead generation and appointment setting role, open to all countries, listed at $6,000 to $12,000 a year (October 2026). It asked for proven LinkedIn results and a video introduction.
- Mid
- GoFasti's lead generation specialist role at $1,300 to $1,500 a month (October 2026), for 3+ years of B2B lead generation, sales development or appointment setting. The ad says open to all countries, but the description says the role is based in Latin America.
How that compares
Reference points from other markets. Remote pay for people in Nigeria is usually below US and UK local pay.
- Nigeria local, telemarketer, lower figure (Paylab, self-reported) (paylab.com)₦117,278 a month
- Nigeria local, telemarketer, upper average (Paylab, self-reported) (paylab.com)₦426,519 a month
What affects your pay
Base versus commission. A base with a bonus per appointment or per show is the healthiest structure for you. Commission-only shifts all the risk onto the setter.
Channel. B2B setting with cold calling and list building, as in GoFasti's ad, pays more than simple inbound follow-up.
Hours. Full-time roles on US hours pay more than part-time ones, but some setters prefer part-time evenings around another job.
Proof. Setters who can show booked-meeting and show-rate numbers from past work start higher.
Local comparison. Paylab's self-reported figures for telemarketers in Nigeria are about ₦117,000 to ₦427,000 a month, roughly $85 to $310 at the Wise rate of ₦1,373 to $1 on 25 October 2026.
Negotiating your offer
Your strongest argument is your own numbers: dials an hour, conversation rate, bookings and show rate. Keep a spreadsheet from your first week.
If an employer offers commission only, ask for even a small base for the first two or three months while you learn their offer and leads. If they refuse, that tells you how much they believe in their own leads.
Ask exactly what triggers a bonus (booked, attended or closed) and when it's paid.
Questions people ask
How do appointment setters get paid?
Usually a monthly base plus a bonus per booked or attended appointment, sometimes a small share of closed deals. Payment often goes through the agency, Deel or Payoneer.
Can appointment setters earn $3,000 a month from Nigeria?
It's possible with strong commission, but none of the base-paid roles we checked in October 2026 offered that. Treat course adverts promising it with suspicion.
Do local Nigerian telemarketing jobs pay well?
Usually much less than foreign remote roles. Paylab's self-reported data for Nigerian telemarketers is roughly ₦117,000 to ₦427,000 a month.

Salaries for related roles
- Sales Development Representative
A sales development representative (SDR, sometimes BDR) finds and contacts potential business customers by cold call, email and LinkedIn, qualifies them and books meetings for account executives. Nigerians are hired as remote SDRs by software companies, agencies and outsourcing firms, usually on US or European hours, and it's the standard first step towards a closing role.
- Call Centre Agent
A call centre agent handles a steady queue of inbound or outbound phone calls for a business, following scripts and logging every call in a CRM. Remote call centre work from Nigeria is widely available through BPOs and US or UK agencies, but it demands a quiet room, wired internet, backup power and late shifts.
- Virtual Assistant
A virtual assistant runs a client's admin from a distance: inbox, calendar, bookings, CRM updates, simple graphics and follow-ups. It is one of the most realistic remote jobs to land from Nigeria without a degree, but honest starting pay in 2026 agency ads is $6 to $7 an hour.
- Customer Service Representative
A customer service representative (CSR) handles customers' orders, bills, bookings and complaints by phone, email, chat and SMS on behalf of a business. Nigerians do this job remotely every day, mostly for US and UK firms through staffing agencies, and mostly on their hours.
