Where to find remote B2B marketing jobs open to Nigerians: job titles to search, ATS search strings, how to read location lines, and real 2026 pay ranges.

The best way to find remote B2B marketing jobs from Nigeria is to search by specific job title (demand generation, product marketing, marketing operations, lifecycle, content) rather than "B2B marketing", and to search where companies post their own vacancies: ATS boards like Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, Africa-focused remote boards and curated listings such as WorkRemote's. Then check the location line before you spend time on an application. Many "remote" B2B roles are remote only inside the US, the UK or the EU.
This guide covers the job titles worth typing, the search strings that bring up region-friendly ads, and how to read eligibility wording. It also shows what Africa-eligible marketing roles were paying as of October 2026 and how to run a weekly search that doesn't eat your data and your evenings.
Quick answer
Remote B2B marketing jobs (marketing to businesses rather than consumers) are open to Nigerians when the ad lists Nigeria, Africa, EMEA or "anywhere", or when it's a contractor role with no residency requirement. Search by specific titles on company ATS boards, Africa-focused remote boards and curated job sites. Then confirm eligibility, time zone and pay currency on the live ad. Expect pay well below US benchmarks.
What counts as a B2B marketing job
B2B (business-to-business) marketing means selling a product or service to other companies. Buyers are teams, sales cycles take weeks or months, and success is measured in leads, pipeline and revenue rather than likes. Most remote B2B marketing roles sit in software (SaaS), fintech, payments, cybersecurity, HR tech and agencies that serve those companies.
Few ads say "B2B marketer" in the title. Search for these titles instead:
| Job title to search | What the work involves | Remote from Nigeria? |
|---|---|---|
| Demand generation manager | Campaigns that create qualified leads and pipeline | Often, at EMEA or global companies |
| Product marketing manager | Positioning, launches, sales materials | Sometimes; often needs prior SaaS experience |
| Marketing operations specialist | HubSpot or Salesforce setup, reporting, lead routing | Good fit; the work is mostly async |
| Lifecycle or email marketing manager | Nurture sequences, onboarding emails, retention | Good fit |
| B2B content marketing manager | Blog, case studies, whitepapers, SEO | Common, but competition is high |
| Account-based marketing (ABM) manager | Campaigns aimed at named target companies | Less common, usually senior |
| Partner marketing manager | Co-marketing with partners such as cloud platforms | Sometimes global |
| Field or event marketing manager | In-person events in a region | Rarely; usually tied to a country |
| Growth or go-to-market (GTM) marketer | Experiments across channels, often at startups | Common at contractor-friendly startups |
If you're still choosing between these paths, our digital marketing specialist career guide and product marketing manager career guide cover skills and routes in. Roles inside software companies get their own treatment in remote marketing jobs in SaaS companies.
Where remote B2B marketing jobs are posted
B2B companies usually post vacancies on their own ATS first. LinkedIn and aggregators then copy them, often with the location details mangled. Get as close to the original ad as you can.
| Where to look | What you'll find | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| WorkRemote business and marketing listings | Remote roles open to applicants living in Nigeria, with company, website and where applicants may live shown on each listing | Still read the employer's own ad before applying |
| Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby boards | Original company ads with full location wording | Many are US-only or hybrid; ads close fast |
| Africa-focused remote boards | Ads tagged by eligible country | Tags are sometimes wrong; check the source ad |
| Talent-matching agencies for US clients | Full-time contractor roles paid in dollars, often open to Nigeria | The agency is not the end employer; confirm both |
| LinkedIn job search | Volume, plus recruiter contact | "Remote" filter ignores country restrictions |
Two Africa-focused aggregators we opened while researching this guide show both the value and the limits of aggregators. Remote4Africa's content marketing page listed 14 roles on 27 October 2026. Several were marked "Anywhere in the World", including a senior performance marketing role advertised at €4,000 to €6,000 a month. Only one listing (a content and social media manager) named Nigeria explicitly, and many others were South Africa only. Remote Rocketship's Africa marketing page showed a similar mix the same day. It also showed a US hospital-facing marketing role tagged as remote in Gabon, which is a reminder that aggregator location tags can be wrong.

Search strings that surface region-friendly ads
Google's site: operator lets you search one ATS directly. Copy these, then change the title:
site:job-boards.greenhouse.io "demand generation" remote EMEAsite:jobs.lever.co "product marketing" remote "anywhere"site:jobs.ashbyhq.com "marketing operations" remote Africasite:job-boards.greenhouse.io "lifecycle marketing" remote "Europe, Middle East""B2B" "content marketing manager" remote "Nigeria"
Restrict results to the past week with Google's Tools menu. When we ran these searches in October 2026, a lot of the results had already expired or turned out to be hybrid roles in London or San Francisco. Open the ad itself and read the location line before you get attached.
Going straight to company career pages
If a B2B company you admire is remote-first, check its careers page every few weeks instead of waiting for job boards to pick up the ad. Look for wording like "we hire in X countries" or a list of supported countries. Our guide to finding remote jobs on company career pages explains how to build a shortlist and check it without wasting hours.
How to read the location line on a B2B marketing ad
The location line decides whether your application gets read. "Remote" alone tells you almost nothing.
| Wording in the ad | What it usually means for you |
|---|---|
| Remote (US) or Remote, United States | US residents with work authorisation only; skip |
| Remote, UK or Remote, EU | Usually needs the right to work there; skip unless it says contractors welcome |
| EMEA or Europe, Middle East and Africa | Sometimes includes Nigeria, sometimes means Europe in practice; check the country list |
| Anywhere or Worldwide | Often open, but some still exclude countries their payroll provider doesn't cover |
| A list of countries that includes Nigeria | Open to you; the clearest signal |
| Africa, or LATAM and Africa | Usually open; confirm Nigeria isn't excluded |
Here are two real examples from October 2026. A Remote4Africa listing for a content marketing manager working for a UK business was open only to people in South Africa, on South Africa Standard Time (SAST) hours. A Nigerian marketer couldn't apply even though it was "remote" and "in Africa". In contrast, every marketing listing on Remote Rocketship's page for Scale Army Careers, a recruiter that places marketers in Latin America and Africa with US companies, named Nigeria alongside Egypt, Argentina, Ethiopia and South Africa as of 27 October 2026. Agency arrangements change, so check the live ad.

What remote B2B marketing jobs pay Nigeria-based marketers
Pay depends on seniority, the employer's location and how the company hires you (as a contractor or through an employer of record). Treat US figures as a ceiling, not a target.
- US benchmark: The US Bureau of Labor Statistics puts the median annual pay for marketing managers at $166,790 (May 2025, US-based employees). Almost no company will pay a Nigeria-based contractor that.
- Africa-eligible marketing roles: On Remote Rocketship's Scale Army Careers page, as of 27 October 2026, marketing roles open to Nigeria advertised between $1,300 and $3,900 a month. A coordinator-level digital marketing specialist was listed at $1,300 to $2,100, a GTM marketer at $3,000 to $3,500 and a growth marketing manager at $3,500 to $3,900. Those are ranges from job ads, not what people were actually paid.
- Global "anywhere" senior roles: The highest advertised figures for "Anywhere in the World" roles on Remote4Africa were senior and head-of roles, priced in euros at €4,000 a month and above.
At WorkRemote's house rate of ₦1,362 to $1 (CBN NFEM weighted average, 23 October 2026), $1,300 a month is about ₦1.77 million, $2,000 is about ₦2.72 million and $3,500 is about ₦4.77 million. Fees and tax come out of that, so see how to receive dollars in Nigeria and tax for remote workers in Nigeria before you compare offers.

Skills and proof B2B hiring managers look for
B2B marketing hiring managers screen for three things: you understand a long sales cycle, you can work in their tools, and you can show numbers.
Speak the funnel language
Use these terms correctly in your CV and interviews:
- MQL and SQL: marketing-qualified and sales-qualified leads.
- Pipeline: the value of deals in progress that marketing helped create.
- CAC: customer acquisition cost.
- Attribution: how credit for a deal is split across channels.
A Nigerian fintech or B2B SaaS background counts here. If you ran campaigns for a payments company selling to merchants, that's B2B marketing, and you should say so in those words.
Know the tools in the ad
The tools that come up again and again are HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics 4, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, a website builder such as Webflow or WordPress, and a design tool like Canva or Figma. Marketing operations ads add things like Zapier, Clay or Marketo.
HubSpot Academy offers free online certifications, including Inbound, Content Marketing, Digital Marketing and HubSpot Marketing Hub Software (as of October 2026). They won't get you hired on their own. They do show a recruiter you've used the platform many B2B teams run on. For other options, see the best digital marketing certifications for remote jobs.
Show B2B work, not just B2C
Many Nigerian marketers have strong consumer social media portfolios and nothing that looks like B2B work. Close that gap with one or two pieces such as:
- a case study of a lead-generation campaign, with spend, leads and cost per lead
- a sample nurture email sequence for a real SaaS product
- a teardown of a B2B company's LinkedIn ads or landing page, with suggested fixes
Building a digital marketing portfolio without clients walks through how to make these credible.
A weekly search routine for remote B2B marketing jobs
Example (hypothetical): Chiamaka is a content marketer in Ibadan with three years at a Lagos fintech. She can give five focused hours a week to her job search. A routine like this keeps it manageable:
- Monday, 45 minutes: Run your saved
site:searches for two titles (say, "content marketing manager" and "lifecycle marketing") filtered to the past week. Open only ads whose location line could include Nigeria. - Monday, 15 minutes: Check WorkRemote's business and marketing listings and your Africa-focused boards for new posts.
- Tuesday and Wednesday, 2 hours: Apply to the best three or four. Rewrite the top third of your CV for each, using the ad's own terms (pipeline, MQL, HubSpot).
- Thursday, 1 hour: Check five target companies' careers pages directly, and send one short note to a marketing lead at a company you've applied to.
- Friday, 30 minutes: Update your tracking sheet (company, title, location wording, date applied, next step) and drop anything older than three weeks with no reply.
Applying to a few well-matched ads beats firing off thirty generic ones. The ATS boards above show the full ad, so you can tailor your application properly.
Nigeria-specific things to sort out before you apply
Time zones
Most B2B marketing teams expect some overlap for meetings with sales. Nigeria stays on WAT (UTC+1) all year:
- US East Coast teams: 9am to 5pm Eastern is 2pm to 10pm in Lagos in summer. From 1 November 2026, when the US switches to standard time, it's 3pm to 11pm. Most US companies will want at least a few hours of overlap.
- UK teams: 9am to 5pm in London is 10am to 6pm in Lagos in winter (UK clocks went back on 25 October 2026) and the same hours in summer.
- Central European teams: Same time as Lagos in winter, one hour ahead in summer. This is why EMEA roles suit Nigerian marketers well.
Power and internet
You'll be on video calls with sales teams and running live campaigns. A launch that goes out late because NEPA took light is hard to explain. Budget for an inverter or solar backup and two internet connections (for example, a home broadband line plus a MiFi or phone hotspot on a different network).
Contracts and payment
Most Africa-eligible B2B marketing roles hire you as a contractor, often paid through platforms such as Deel. Some companies use an employer of record, which gives you a local employment contract and benefits. The differences matter for leave, tax and notice, so read contractor or employee when a foreign company hires you before you sign.
Red flags in marketing job ads
Marketing attracts its own kinds of fake or exploitative ads. Walk away from:
- Pay-to-train offers: "Pay ₦50,000 for our marketing bootcamp and we'll place you." Legitimate employers don't charge applicants.
- Your own ad spend: Trial tasks that ask you to run a live campaign with your own money.
- Commission-only "growth marketer" roles: These are sales jobs dressed up as marketing, with no base pay.
- Telegram or WhatsApp-only recruiters: No company website, no ATS link, and pressure to move fast.
- Unpaid "test projects" that look like real client work: For example, a full content calendar or a month of emails.

Frequently asked questions
Can Nigerians get remote B2B marketing jobs with foreign companies?
Yes, when the ad lists Nigeria, Africa, EMEA with Nigeria included, or genuinely anywhere. Contractor roles through recruiters that place African talent with US companies are a common route. Always confirm eligibility on the employer's own ad.
Do I need SaaS experience to get a remote B2B marketing job?
No, but you need B2B experience of some kind. Marketing for a Nigerian fintech, logistics firm, agency or business services company counts if you can show leads, pipeline or revenue results. Senior product marketing roles are the ones most likely to ask for SaaS experience specifically.
Which B2B marketing role is easiest to get remotely from Nigeria?
Content, lifecycle or email, and marketing operations roles are usually the most reachable. They're largely asynchronous, so they're easy to do across time zones, and you can prove your skills with samples. Field and event marketing are the hardest, because they're usually tied to a country.
How much do remote B2B marketers in Nigeria earn?
As of October 2026, marketing roles open to Nigeria on one recruiter's listings advertised $1,300 to $3,900 a month, depending on level. That's about ₦1.77 million to ₦5.31 million at ₦1,362 to $1. Senior global roles can pay more, while US benchmarks such as the BLS median of $166,790 a year are far above typical offers to Nigeria-based contractors.
Is LinkedIn enough to find remote B2B marketing jobs?
No. LinkedIn's remote filter doesn't reliably exclude US-only or EU-only roles, and many ads are reposts. Use it alongside ATS board searches, company career pages and curated listings that show where applicants may live.
Are HubSpot certifications worth it for B2B marketing jobs?
They're worth the time because they're free and HubSpot is widely used by B2B teams. They help most when they back up real campaign results on your CV or in your portfolio, rather than standing alone.
What does "EMEA" mean on a remote marketing ad?
EMEA stands for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Some companies hiring "EMEA remote" include Nigeria. Others only hire where they already have entities, which is often just the UK or EU. Look for a country list or ask the recruiter before applying.
Key takeaways
- Search by specific titles (demand generation, product marketing, marketing operations, lifecycle, content), not "B2B marketing".
- Get to the original ad on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or the company's careers page. Aggregator location tags can be wrong.
- Apply only when the location line names Nigeria, Africa, an inclusive EMEA or genuine "anywhere" eligibility.
- As of October 2026, Africa-eligible marketing ads advertised roughly $1,300 to $3,900 a month, far below US benchmarks.
- Show B2B proof: funnel numbers, HubSpot or Salesforce experience, and one or two B2B case studies.
- Plan for overlap with US or European hours, backup power and internet, and a contractor arrangement.
